Terms and Conditions of Service
All new internet accounts are payable of 1 month in advance,and maybe be set to monthly, quarterly or yearly by direct debit or can be paid by cheque quarterly or yearly. Payments can be made using the PayPal system at intervals setout as accepted on requestment. Accounts will be created upon initial request and the cost of the domain will be paid in full. Gridstar Networking will own that domain until such time as the account terms have been satisfied. If funds are not then paid, the account will be suspended and any domain(s) forfieted to Gridstar Networking. For yearly account renewing, a 21day notice period will be given before payment is due. Payments that have not been received within 7 days of account renewal will be suspended and any domains defaulted to the ownership of Gridstar Networking.
Accounts that are paid monthly or quarterly are given a 7day grace late payment period. If payment has not been received after this time the account wil be suspended and a reactivation fee will of $35USD or £25GBP be issued before the account can be reopned. Accounts can be suspended on request by customers and will also be subject to the reactivation fee during that time. If the suspension period overruns a renewal date for domain registration the renewal fee will be charged at our standard rate plus 10%. Accounts that are closed by Gridstar Networking for any breech of these terms and conditions, shall forfeit any and all monies paid to date for cancelled account. Accounts that are closed at the request of the customer before the contractual set date, shall forfeit any and all monies paid for the length of contractual agreement.
Account Ownership of each account is the sole property of Gridstar Networking, the account holder will be that of each individual account. Before any transaction may take place, Gridstar Networking is to be notified and must grant authority in this matter. Without prior consent, the account shall become forfeit and be retained by Gridstar Networking and it's subsidiaries. Prior consent must be granted via either executive office, be in the United Kingdom or the United States. All addresses must be aquired from our Support Department. Any deviation from this practice, leave the account to the discrestion of both offices jointly.
Reseller payments will be paid on the last day of each month via the PayPal system. We will pay the currency either in GBP or USB or at reseller's expense in other currencies and reseller will incur all charges of currency transactions. resellers will also be emailed a statement of account showing current payments and payments that fall within the 1 or 2 year payment plan. If a customer that has been referred to by a reseller terminated his account, any further payments to the reseller will also be terminated.
If you wish to transfer your domain that has been registered by Gridstar Networking within the first two years you will be responsible for additional fees that would have been subsidised by Gridstar Networking. The fee will be given on request based on the outstanding time left.
Free domain names provided by Gridstar Networking are given on a 'free' basis providing the account has been in advance for a period of no less than one year. The free domain name remains the property of Gridstar Networking at all times, and can be transferred to a third party if requested on receipt of any transfer fees set out when requested.
Any violations of this policy may result in: Termination of service without a refund. Charges for repairs to any damage caused. Notification to police or other authorities. You are responsible for all use of your account. you must not: Run memory or processor intensive cgi/php scripts that will slow or reduce performance of Gridstar Networking's servers. Store, upload/download illegal files. These files being but not limited to: Illegal software, Child pornography, Copyrighted material, Material that could be classed as offensive or slanderous. Sending unsolicited e-mail advertising. Advertising or spamming, or general junk mail. Mail bombing or sending large emails or files to someone by e-mail.
We do not regularly examine the content of our customers web pages. However, we do have a few requirements they must meet: They must be legal publications i.e. no illegal pornography, obscenity, copyright infringement, etc. Should we be notified of any violation, we will examine the indicated pages and take appropriate action.
By placing an online order of a 'Shell Account' you are agreeing to allow Gridstar Networking to record all connection details, including, but not limited to; IP Address, ISP Name, Connection Timings. This data will only be used for cases resulting in fraud or other investigations deemed fit by Gridstar Networking. Due to the nature of Shell Accounts, data is monitored to and from our servers. Suspicions connections no matter how small will be investigated. Customers found to be involved with, but not limited to; Account Sharing, Port Scanning, Probing, Nuking, DoS attacks will have their account suspended without refund. Customers are warned that giving out their account password (unless giving prior written approval) is a violation of our terms and conditions and will lead to account suspension.. Security is taken very seriously at Gridstar Networking; Any information on this nature will be investigated by Gridstar Networking and any legal agency we see fit to involve.
Accounts which are given static IP address(s) must be active. Accounts that are not using the provided IP address(s) will be reclaimed and may be allocated to another user or account. Reclaim period for unused IP addresses is 30 days. Reallocation of unused IP addresses may not provide the same IP address(s) as previously allocated.
IRCd processes are not permitted to be run on accounts not listed as having permission to run these such processes. All shell accounts are not permitted to run services which would interfere with running of our servers, which include, but not limited to; web, ftp, ssh, telnet.
Dedicated servers are payable either 3, 6 or 12 months in advance. Payment must be received within 7 days of being given access to login to your dedicated server. If you have been given free setup of your dedicated server, this is on the basis of a 6 month contract. Should you cancel your dedicated server before this time, the setup fee will become payable.
Dedicated servers are provided with 2 Static IP addresses for each dedicated server. Additional IP addresses are available for a fee on request. Dedicated servers are provided 'as-is' and as such are self managed. Our engineers are available for administration tasks on request, on receipt of our standard administration fee. Our reboot policy for dedicated servers is to reboot your server within 40 minutes of receipt of contact. On receipt your server will be rebooted and confirmation of receipt will be issued, with notification after completion.
The management of Gridstar Networking, reserves the right to terminate or suspend any users account without notice, if the user has commited a violation of the rules set forth by this company. Gridstar Networking will not be held liable or accountable for any violations by a user and will comply will any and all law enforcement officials regarding a matter of any and all Internet Laws
